As word spread and loyal customers grew, a second location in Dallas opened in Highland Park Village just two years later and a Tex-Mex restaurant legend was born. I am a true Pisces – I was born on a leap year, February 29th! What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you? (Correct us if we're wrong.) The name Monkey Bar comes from its aerie location, with a row of windows that overlook. You can walk around the Village and bump into familiar faces everywhere you go! The Highland Park Village branch is the only Mi Cocina that has a secret bar. The Guild is a boutique hotel that offers giant suites with fully equipped kitchens in Uptown Dallas, a true walkable. Even within my own team, they love coming to Highland Park Village on their days off to visit their favorite shops and restaurants. Address: 2500 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX 75201. In 2009, Washburne and his family bought the Highland Park Village, an upscale shopping center in Dallas, for 170 million (212 million in 2021). It is a very close-knit, family-oriented environment. Washburne is a co-founder of the M Crowd Restaurant Group, owning forty-six restaurants, including the Mi Cocina and Taco Diner restaurant chains. What do you enjoy most about the Highland Park Village community? During school, I would visit to explore the shop windows to gain knowledge and inspiration for my school projects. Since Alexander McQueen opened in 2011, Highland Park Village has caught my attention. How long have you personally been visiting Highland Park Village? They are the ones that I know I can call on! In addition, it has been amazing seeing how the co-founders (Valerie Macaulay, Meredith Melling, & Molly Howard) are so receptive and quick to communicate with our team and take our feedback seriously, as we are a direct-to-consumer business model. They have made my transition here very smooth, helping me with anything I need. What is your favorite or most unique thing about what you do?īeing able to network with the marketing/PR team and the Highland Park Village management team is my favorite. I have been leading our wonderful team here at La Ligne since November 2022. How long have you led the charge at La Ligne in Highland Park Village? The brand aligns with my everyday life and values. I started my luxury retail career at an early age during my transition here, and I am currently going on 16 years! When I heard La Ligne was looking for a store manager in the Village, I jumped at the opportunity once I researched the brand known for its iconic stripes and everyday essentials. I moved to Texas in 2003 and attended the Art Institute of Dallas to explore my love of the fine arts, fashion, and design. I am originally from Santa Ana, California, where I was born and raised. Tell us a little about yourself and what led you to your job at La Ligne.
